There are thousands of foodbank volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis.
We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, even for a couple of hours per week, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
How To Apply
If you are interested in applying for one of our current volunteering opportunities (outlined below), please complete this formWCFB-Volunteer-Application-Form and email to [email protected]. We can then have a chat you to give you a better idea of what is involved and whether it would suit you.
Warehouse volunteer
We need help to weigh, sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients to collect. You could help in this vital work to ensure we have the right food available at all times.
Volunteering at a foodbank centre
Dealing and speaking with foodbank users at our various sessions throughout Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston, assisting them with collection of food.
Volunteer Foodbank Driver/Driver’s assistant
Driving or being the passenger in our van to pick up and distribute food donations
Volunteering in our warehouse office
Answering phones, dealing with emails, sending thank you letters, and keeping our database current.
Volunteering to help with our newsletter
Can be done totally on line – helping to write and collate regular newsletters to our large email base
