Poverty Truth Commission Launch

30th January 2017

West Cheshire Foodbank believe that food poverty is reduced where there is food justice and that food justice is possible when policy makers and listening to the real experts who have faced food poverty and working together on real solutions.

That’s why we are delighted that Cheshire West and Chester will launch a Poverty Truth Commission in February, hoping to give those affected by poverty a voice and an opportunity to feel more able to take control of their situations.

Food justice is a community effort. We recommend that local businesses charities, community groups, leaders and politicians come to the launch to be sure they know how to influence the work of the commission and be part of food justice.

The launch is taking place on February 16th from 10am – 12:30pm at Chester Racecourse, Pavillion Suite, New Crane Street, Chester, CH1 2LY.

You can book your place HERE.

Everyone is welcome so please encourage anyone to come along that you think would be interested.
